How Are Dentures Made?

Dentures are custom-made and designed to function as natural teeth. First, dental imprints are made using stock trays. Our team takes the impressions to the lab so the technician can place them on an articulator, where the false teeth are attached using wax. Dentures are placed on a flask, and acrylic is injected. The technician trims and polishes the dentures and sends them to your dentist for proper fitting.

How to Take Care of Your Dentures

Like natural teeth, full or partial dentures can accumulate stains and plaque, leading to problems with your mouth and gums. Proper dental care is essential to keep them clean and in good shape. Place them in a denture cleanser, or water when you’re sleeping to keep them from drying out. Ensure you don’t use hot water to avoid damaging the dentures. Clean your dentures by using a soft-bristled brush to remove plaque and food, and always clean your mouth after removing the dentures. Most importantly, go for regular checkups to get them professionally cleaned.
